WordSolver.net

Wordsolver is a scrabble solver for word games such as scrabble, lexulous, words with friends, word twist, word scraper, and any anagram-based word games - wordsolver.net is a scrabble word finder. Put letters in and find the longest words! Originally I wrote wordsolver to solve a puzzle on the back of The Times called Polygon, and then I realised its applicability to scrabble problems too if given the right dictionary (and of course for the derivatives of scrabble too such as lexulous, words with friends, literati, word twist, word scraper, etc.) Now, to be clear, I didn't design this tool to enable people to use it as a cheat against unsuspecting opponents. I created it for use it against the computer, against the newspaper, for fun, for practice, to play against yourself as practice, to settle arguments, or use it against someone having told them you're going to use a wordsolver, but not for use against unsuspecting opponents.

Anyhoo, you use the site by entering the letters you have to form words into the Letters box (use a question mark to represent a wildcard or a blank tile) and click 'find words' and wordsolver.net will return a list of all the scrabble words that can be made with your letters from the official scrabble dictionary (TWL dictionary is used in the US/Canada, the SOWPODS dictionary is used for English everywhere else) - starting with the longest words which are usually the best words for scrabble-like games - but not always so don't restrict yourself! So WordSolver.net is a scrabble word finder, scrabble solver and free online anagrammer!

You may also want to try the optional pattern matching box which will filter out some of your results if you have a particular space on the board to fit your word to - this is a really excellent feature that is well worth learning how to use! You may also want to try playing a game where both players use WordSolver.net against each other - it is a highly technical game that is much more about finding the best use of your letters together on the scrabble board along with the double and triple word scores (and letters) rather than just slapping down the longest scrabble words you can find! Much closer to the game the scrabble professionals play!

We also have lists of two letter words and three letter scrabble words - the links are at the top-left of this page and every word on those pages and any word that comes back in the word search results can be clicked on and a new browser tab will be opened to search for the meaning of the word in a free online dictionary.
